Background
In what renowned false confession expert has called "the most psychologically brutal interrogation and tortured confession that I have ever observed," Michael Crowe (14) falsely confessed to killing his sister. Charges were eventually dropped before the trial, but Crowe's civil suit is ongoing. The 9th Circuit just recently reinstituted the civil rights suit after it was dismissed several years ago.
